San Francisco's GLBT History Museum is first of its kind.
The nation's first museum dedicated to gay history has opened in San Francisco.
The GLBT History Museum, a 1,600 hundred square foot facility that chronicles the evolution and politics of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities, is located in the city's Castro district.
The museum has signed a five year lease on the property and is asking for donations and volunteers to help with costs.
