January 12th marks the one year anniversary of the earthquake that devastated Haiti.
More than 300,000 people died in the massive quake that struck just west of the capital, Port-au-Prince.
In their time of need, out country rallied to help the Haitians.
The Upper Valley also raised money for Haiti sending volunteers to help with relief efforts.
One local restaurant owner said she still has family members in Haiti that were there during the earthquake.
" I felt a little bit of sadness, this morning I basically felt the same way I felt last year... confused, disbelief," said Esther Etienne, Caribbean Taste Restaurant Owner.
Etienne wants everyone to say a pray for the people of Haiti, because most of them are still struggling with the left over devastation today.
