Santa came early this year for several students at Villa Nueva Elementary school in Brownsville, Na'Tassia Finley brings us this report.
It was a happy day for 4 and 5 year-old children at Villa Nueva Elementary school as Santa Claus came about two weeks early. Santa brought these good little ones hundreds of toys to choose from and some knew exactly what they wanted. The event is sponsored by UTB/TSC and students and staff on campus helped Santa make the event extra special.
The toy party, in it's 19th year, makes sure these eager kindergartners have something on Christmas morning. Not many of these children plan on waiting to open their gifts until December 25th. In fact, most all of these tiny scholars had plans to play with their new toys much sooner. Each child walked away with at least two toys and happy, grateful hearts towards the big man in the red suit and some showed it.
The gift giving wasn't quite over, Santa had a few more gifts that he pulled from his sleigh with several more toys, even bicycles, were given to lucky students whose names were drawn. In all one hundred students walked away with Holiday gifts.
