State Representative Kino Flores will get five years probation after a Travis county jury convicted him of record tampering and perjury.
Monday State Representative Kino Flores appeared before state district judge Bob Perkins.
Perkins sentenced him to five years probation. The 52 year old law maker was convicted on 11 counts of record tampering and perjury back in October for allegedly selling his influence in the legislature and taking bribes.
Flores was a Democratic State Representative for district 36 out of the Palmview in the Valley for 14 years.
We talked with some valley residents who don't think 5 years probation was enough.
Others say it was just the right sentence.
Flores could have faced two years in prison.
