Investigators believe baby left naked on California porch may belong to dead woman found elsewhere.
California investigators are working to determine if a baby found naked on a Le Grand porch belongs to a woman found dead several miles away.
Jackie Sanchez still can't believe what her husband found: A baby lying naked on his neighbor's doorstep.
He heard him crying as he was leaving for work.
"He thought it was a cat, like a meow he said it got louder and he got closer to it and realized what it was," Sanchez says.
Jackie's husband rang the doorbell and Sunny Rodriguez answered.
She says the baby was stiff and cold to the touch.
"We rushed him in and I put him in pampers, socks a sleeper and a blanket and just trying to warm the baby up to get him to room temperature at least," said Rodriguez.
She also called 911.
The sheriff's department showed up within minutes and the baby was rushed to the hospital.
Deputies say he's in stable condition but don't know who he is.
They also say this doorstep is just six miles away from Planada, where Ana Diaz De Ceja and her 2 month old were reported missing on Thursday.
Deputies are working on DNA tests, but it will take a week for the results to come out.
The child will be in custody of protective services until he's identified.
