The season of giving has already started in the City of McAllen as over a hundred people receiving a nice Thanksgiving dinner.
People lined up on Wednesday at the McAllen Police Department in the morning to receive Thanksgiving goodies for them to cook at home. Sandra Ibarra came with her family to receive one of the dinners and the police department wanted to show their gratitude to the community who have helped them fight against crime throughout the year.
The conjunction of the police department and Crime Stoppers were also holding a raffle to give away a 2010 Chevy Camero with the winner being a man from Illinois. The Junior Police Academy and the City of McAllen were out and about helping mothers carry their Thanksgiving dinners and leaving smiles on their faces.
