Alberto Garza was one of the six Valley residents who died in the tragic bus crash last Monday. Today a special ceremony was held at Economedes High School for the long time educator.
Many describe him as very dedicated and always involved with his students and always pushing his colleagues to better themselves.
“He seemed to always give you the power, strength to say I can do this and it's not difficult as it seems.”
His younger brother, Severo Garza, tells us Alberto would want those to remember him as the happy person he truly was. He wouldn't want anyone shedding tears of sadness.
“I don't think I saw my brother cry much at all. He’d be looking around and say that's enough. Let’s go eat and party. We’ll have a fun time. I’m sure that's what he's saying right now. Let’s get this over with so we can go have some fun.”
And that's exactly how he and those who attended today's ceremony will remember Alberto Garza.
