U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents seized 23 pounds of cocaine at the Hidalgo International port of entry.
An 18 year-old woman tried to cross the border in a truck on Thursday when authorities say they found ten packages of cocaine. The driver is a U.S. citizen and she was turned over to Homeland Security special investigations for questioning. The estimated street value of the drug is over $750,000 dollars.
Border Patrol agents found more than they bargained for when they pulled over a truck in Rio Grande City. They found 10 illegal immigrants in the bed of the truck along with over 160 pounds of marijuana. The drugs have a street value of $133,000 dollars.
