Baby massage is growing in popularity and the benefits go beyond bonding.
The combination of their mother's touch and tlc quickly puts babies at ease.
"It can do so many different things from the basics of resolving colic, constipation, respiratory disorders, sleeping disorders," says massage therapist Susan Forster.
Forster says baby massage has been around for years.
Recently though, it's taken off in popularity.
"It's also been proven that massage increases the immunity in our bodies significantly," Forster says.
it's An Activity That Can Be Done Any Time And Any Place.
"I've heard a lot of people who do bath and then massage, and then put her to sleep and it helps them relax and get ready for bed time so we're going to start to incorporate that," says new mom Sharon Neiberg.
"I've actually heard celebrity babies get it. They actually have massage therapists to do it for their baby," says Patrina Thompson. "I like that I can do it for her."
