Candidates from hard-fought race for President Obama's former Senate seat join each other for a toast.
The heated campaign is over and the votes have been tallied.
Now, it's time for a drink!
Republican Mark kirk and Democrat Alexi Giannoulias sat down for a beer Wednesday night at a Chicago bar.
Far from an intimate setting, it was filled with reporters and photographers watching the pair who have sparred for months to fill President Obama's former Senate seat.
During his victory speech Kirk invited Giannoulias to have a beer with him as they had discussed on the campaign trail.
After a beer, a light discussion and exchanging of e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers, both Giannoulias and Kirk went their separate ways.
