A race drawing a lot of attention was for the Brownsville I.S.D. school board and there were some changes on the board.
Two incumbents lost their seats on Tuesday night including Ruben Cortez who sat on Position 1 on the board. His challenger Enrique Escobedo, the former Position 1 seat holder, says he ran for the number two seat because he and Cortez didn't always see eye to eye and wanted to see a change. Escobedo added that the former school board was split and he wanted to see a board of independent thinkers.
