Another candidate maybe requesting a recount after he says some discrepancies at the polls may have made it difficult for voters to cast their vote.
Long time Congressman, Solomon Ortiz, was ousted from his congressional seat by Republican Blake Farenthold after losing by nearly 800 votes. The congressman, who represented District 27 for 27 years, lost in Tuesday's night election. He says he wants to make sure every vote was counted including those of soldiers overseas. Oritz's legal team is also looking at some discrepancies that happened during early voting and election day.
In a written statement, Ortiz says, "If after all the votes are counted and the race is still this close, a recount will be needed. It's simply too early for anybody to be calling this race."
