Police in Mission discovered 38 bundles of marijuana stashed behind a fake wall inside a semi-truck trailer.
Police say the bust happened after they received a tip and got a warrant to search the semi-trailer with a K-9 unit which did find narcotics inside. In two other busts, border agents seized more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana. The most recent one happened early Thursday morning along the Rio Grande river where agents found a car loaded with several bundles of marijuana totaling close to 6,000 pounds.
On Wednesday evening a group of people tried to carry several bundles of marijuana across the border, but ran away when they saw border agents. 4,000 pounds of marijuana were reported in that seizure.
