This is Jessica Contreras who has a seven month old baby Aden.
"He's my world I love him, he's my baby I don't know what I would do if something happened to him he's my everything."
This mother was in the middle of her laundry at the Crockett Apartments Wednesday night when she heard another mother screaming. It was her neighbor saying her 18 month old was in the shower unresponsive. Contreras with her motherly instincts rushed up the stairs to apartment 60 to give her CPR.
"We laid her down in the back of the truck me and this other girl was pushing down of the chest, and we tilted her head back I was giving her air in her mouth. "
Paramedics arrived on scene shortly after and rushed the 18 month old to hospital, but police say she didn't made it. Police say the 18 month old was in the bathtub with her sibling and her mother. The baby's sibling walked out of the bathroom into another room.
Police say the mother followed that child leaving the baby girl in the bathtub alone. Autopsy reports say the child drown. Contreras describes the mother as a good parent.
"She was hysterical she loves her kids and she is not a negligent mother at all, I've talked to her she is a good mom."
At this time Alamo police have not filed any charges against the mother. They are continuing their investigation and will submit there findings to the DA's office to see if charges should be filed.
