Church's sign tells air conditioner thieves "You are going to need them - God".
The members of Jacksonville, Florida's Normandy Park Baptist Church want everyone to know how they feel about the person who stole three of their air conditioning units.
The sign in front of their church now says, "To whoever stole my air conditioners, you are going to need them, - God."
"Really just disappointed, disappointed somebody would do that and take the time to come and steal from a church," said pastor Troy Dixon.
It is disappointing to Dixon and it will be expensive, costing the small church about $4,000 to replace the units.
Someone broke into fenced cages behind the church Friday night and didn't just take parts but stole the entire units.
Services went on uninterrupted Sunday but some members understandably were angry.
"Especially when you know how much people sacrifice people put in to support the house of God. This is a congregation of families who set aside a portion of their income to support the church," said Dixon.
Air conditioning theft is targeting homes and businesses across Jacksonville and not even churches are immune.
Church members would like to see some justice for the thief in this life as well, but as far as the church, Pastor Dixon says they're moving on.
"It was to let them know, no matter what you do you don't knock us down, the Lord continues to strengthen us and we continue to move forward with the mission he's given us," said Dixon.
