Life in Mexico is at a standstill as government officials try to curb the spread of the swine flu.
Health officials have ordered people to stay out of public places as much as possible and to avoid personal contact with other people such as hugging and kissing, common greetings in Mexico. Mexico City closed gyms, swimming pools and pool halls and ordered restaurants to limit service to takeout orders to minimize the number of people congregating together at one time.
So far, 152 people have died from the swine flu since mid-April in Mexico.
