The 2010 Border Binational Health Week kicked off on Monday at the Brownsville Events Center that had health officials and experts together from Mexico and the United States.
The event promotes partnerships that address health issues affecting the border population on both sides of each country. Dr. David Lakey, from the Texas Department of State Health Services, shares some serious health issues plaguing Valley residents. The event will hold forums on specific health related topics, workshops and health fairs and last through the end of the week.
