Fifty two year-old Rudolph Culvillier has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault on a public servant. This stems from a call that came in Sunday night regarding a domestic dispute at his home off of Cleveland street.
Brownsville police arrived on the scene to diffuse the situation, but allegedly the man turned his aggression against his family towards responding officers. While officers attempted to make contact with the family in the home, Culvillier allegedly retreated into a shed located on the property while shouting obscenities at police; and very quickly, a somewhat routine police call escalated.
Culvillier allegedly pointed a shotgun at officers and authorities took cover and eventually convinced the man in the shed to drop the weapon and come out. He did so according to police without incident. No injuries to the family or officers were reported in the nearly hour long incident. Meanwhile, Culvillier remains locked up and has been given a $250,000 dollar bond.
