The H1N1 flu virus has not mutated into a more deadly strain despite rumors to the contrary.
According to the head of the World Health Organization however, officials did warn that there are early signs of the H1N1 flu developing resistance to a vaccine developed to stop it from spreading. Health officials say they are monitoring closely whether the virus will morph into a more lethal form.
For now, the infection is generally mild and most people recover without treatment. The World Health Organization reported the H1N1 has killed almost 3,500 people worldwide as of August 13th.
