Lionzo Cantu has agreed to a plea deal, but as he appeared in court on Friday, he changed his mind and refused the deal and requested a new trial.
Cantu is charged with capital murder, attempted capital murder and aggravated robbery when he and another man barged into a home in Weslaco looking for drugs and money, but realized they had the wrong house. Cantu and the other suspect then shot 26 year-old Donna Lee Bocanegra and her mother several times.
