Well it's one last time for Texans to enjoy the summer sun and one last opportunity to bring in big revenue to the island.
While it will be fun and games for those enjoying the waves, it will be anything but, for businesses looking to rake in the dough. Retailers, restaurants and hotels are looking to do the same thing and while the roads and beach may not look too busy now, on Friday it's expected to change. The island is expecting to see large crowds of travelers for the Labor Day weekend.
The city is preparing for the crowds and Public Works Department is getting the beaches ready and emergency personnel and police are gearing up to patrol the main street.
