Your morning cup of coffee does apparently do more than just perk you up if it has caffeine.
There is evidence out that caffeine helped reverse memory impairment in lab mice that had been breed to develop symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. The mice were given the equivalent of five cups of coffee a day. University of South Florida researchers say all that caffeine decreased the levels of a protein linked to Alzheimer's in the brains and blood samples of the lab mice. Researchers say they hope to study the effect of caffeine in humans.
