A strong warning from Brownsville Police…”Don't let your kids leave your site in public places...”
News Center 23's Na’Tassia Finley has more on a man who police say is fondling young girls at the Walmart off of Alton Gloor.
Police say he comes in, heads to the girls clothing section or the toy aisle to find his victims.
So far, Brownsville Police report that this unidentified man has inappropriately touched two young girls, the victims were between the ages of eight and ten. The first incident occurred at the end of July, with the most recent incident August 19th.
"He's gotten more aggressive, in one incident he touched the little girl over her clothing and the second incident he became more bold and he reached inside the clothing." Brownsville Police Dept, PIO, Eddie Garcia said.
Police say the best way to avoid your child being a victim...
"Do not leave them unattended, no where, the whereabouts of your children, keep close eye on them." Garcia said.
He adds the assaults can happen fast, during one of the incidents the child was in close proximity to her parents, and in about 15 seconds, when the parents looked in another direction, the man allegedly touched the little girl.
The suspect is described as 5ft.7 inches tall weighing approximately 145lbs, bald and in his mid 20's. If you can ID this man, contact the Brownsville Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 546-TIPS.
