Police and Capitol One Giving Backpacks to Students

It was back to school for most kids in the Valley and the Brownsville Police Department and Capitol One Bank have teamed up this year to provide backpacks and school supplies for students in need.

500 backpacks will go to students in grades Kinder through 3rd grade attending a B.I.S.D. school. Both sponsoring agencies say there is a huge need in the community and the police department has sponsored the event for the past decade with the help of businesses from the community.
