Teachers from across the state gathered on the steps of the Capitol to let lawmakers know real change is needed in public schools.
More than 1,000 people attended the rally in Austin and teachers highlighted several issues facing public schools across the state. Teachers say students are being negatively impacted with lack of instructional time and lack of focus on teaching critical thinking and learning skills.
