Valley Veterans are gearing up for the RGV VA Hospital march from Edinburg to San Antonio.
These vets say, years ago they were called to duty to serve our country, and now it's their duty to raise community and national awareness of their need for a Valley veteran's hospital.
Veterans of South Texas will be walking from Sekula Memorial Library in Edinburg, kicking off tomorrow at 9 in the morning.
This week-long trek will end 230 miles away in San Antonio, at Audie Murphy Memorial VA hospital, next friday.
These valiant vets say, they've gone way too long without proper medical facilities and this march shows their commitment to this cause.
District 43 State Representative, Tara Rios Ybarra is even joining in on this fight.
She'll be marching alongside the veterans, to show her support.
Rios-Ybarra says, she's walking not only to honor the veterans, but she feels this march is a great way to help people understand a real issue for vets.
