After being released from jail Monday evening, police say, 24-year-old, Daniel Palacios was at it again. Brownsville Police suspect Palacios and others burglarized two homes and stole two big screen TV’s.
Palacios is now charged with two counts of Burglary of Habitation and three counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. He was arrested Sunday morning after breaking into this home and stealing a TV. Palacios and three others were caught moments after the burglary at a nearby hotel.
According to police, the latest burglaries occurred on Gastin Drive and Honeybee Lane, both in Brownsville and about 6 miles away from one another. Thankfully, no one was home at the time of both break-ins.
Several things you can do to stay safe and possibly turn a burglar away: Installing house alarms, leaving your outside lights on if you know you will be away for several days and befriending your neighbors will also help you in the long run. That’s how Palacios and his accomplices got busted the first time.
Police say more arrests will be made in the upcoming days. Palacios was transported to county jail on a $50,000 bond.
