A laboratory on South Padre Island is teaching kids in summer camp about the wonders of the sea and marine life, Sandra Reyes has more in this weekend's Adventure Ole TV report.
The UTPA Coastal Studies Laboratory is located right in the heart of Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island. Coastal studies can mean lots of things, but here summer camp for kids includes learning about Hermit crabs and all kinds of sea creatures. Also, the lab has microscopes and specimens which the kids use to learn about the biology and anatomy of some of the creatures by an expert. After classes the kids can examine the collection of skeletons of sting rays, dolphin and a sperm whale.
