This family, trying to sleep through the night, was startled as they heard four gun shots coming from outside. Three small children and four adults were inside at the time of the shooting. Luckily, no one was injured.
According to Edcouch Police, 19-year-old, Sammy Solis, shot four times from his car into this home on South Esther Street. Solis is suspected to be a member of the Texas Chicano Brotherhood Gang and wanted to get a message across. Although police are yet to confirm or deny allegations, it appears Solis shot at the home after a family member there quit the gang.
Solis faced a judge this afternoon where he was formally charged with deadly conduct. He was given a $300,000 bond.
