Updating a NewsCenter 23 story you saw on Friday, a man arrested for shooting his son in the leg went before a judge on Monday morning.
59 year-old Roberto Rodriguez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and his bond was set at $20,000 dollars. The shooting happened Friday afternoon at a apartment complex on Coffee Port road in Brownsville. Police say Rodriguez got into an argument with his 27 year-old son and ended up firing two shots into his leg.
Officers believe alcohol is a factor in the case and the son is recovering from the shooting.
