Nearly a dozen bundles of cocaine are now in the hands of Brownsville Police after undercover investigators and a drug sniffing dog discovered the Cocaine in a storage unit at the Storage Depot on Morningside Road.
The street value of those 27 pounds is well over $800,000. For the police department, it's a great bust, especially after finding the drugs in a storage unit that happens to be right next door to an elementary school.
The tip didn't come from the crime stoppers line. Police say a narcotic detective took the anonymous call who led them to the Storage Depot. No one is in custody at this time but police say one person will be arrested and charged.
