A Harlingen man is accused of breaking into 13 vehicles and stealing valuables and personal items that could have been used for identify theft. In April, detectives from the Harlingen police department responded to the Horizon Inn motel to serve an arrest warrant. When police arrested the wanted fugitive they noticed several stolen items in the room. The person confessed to some of the crimes and police investigators were able to connect that person to additional crimes.
A judge arraigned the suspect and charged him with 13 counts of burglary of a motor vehicle which totaled the bond up to $32,000 dollars.
