More than $2 million dollars worth of marijuana is off the streets as Border Patrol agents made multiple drug busts. More than 2,500 pounds of marijuana were seized Tuesday in drug seizures by agents in the Weslaco and McAllen stations and up to 800 pounds of marijuana was confiscated near Progresso. In most cases agents noticed vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed from the Rio Grande river and smugglers then abandoning the vehicles leaving behind the drugs.
