In McAllen, a park has re-opened giving its residents more choices of entertainment, Balboa Park, which is located on Covina Avenue. The city received funding of $90,000 dollars from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to renovate the one acre park. The newly improved park features a half court basketball area, walking trail, shaded picnic areas and a new playground.
