According to predictions by the National Hurricane Center, we have nothing to worry about with Tropical Depression Two. Tropical Depression Two is northeast of the coast of South America. It is expected to travel to the west at around 15 mph, heading toward Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. After it passes the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean, it is expected to weaken into a post-tropical depression and disintegrate.
Let's hope this is true because Tropical Storm Dean followed an almost identical track in August 2007.
Newscenter 23 provides its viewers with a very special feature called the "Hurricane Tracker." It provides up to the minute updates on all tropical activity that would affect the RGV.
