BROWNSVILLE, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A skate park in Brownsville worth just over $500,000 began pouring concrete today.
The park is located in Joe and Tony Oliviera Park, across the street from Pace High School. Crews began at 4:00am forming grinding rails and half pipes for the future skateboarders.
Parks and Recreation Director Chris Patterson says the grand opening is scheduled for August 23.
