HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Harlingen police arrested a young mother for child endangerment after she found her infant inside a bathtub full of water.
On April 27th Harlingen police were called to the 2500 block of N. Rose Street to investigate a possible child drowning.
Detectives spoke with the mother, Brittney Elizabeth Palacios, 25, who stated that she had found her child inside a water filled bathtub
The child was resuscitated and transported to a local hospital and Child Protective Services was notified.
Through the course of the investigation detectives interviewed Palacios and an arrest warrant was issued.
On Thursday, June 26th Palacios and arrested and charged with a state felony of abandonment / endangering a child and handed a $20,000 bond.
