More than 200 educators from across South Texas, state and the nation gathered on Monday to discuss methods to accelerate students through education and into the work force.
The summit highlighted the importance of speeding up the process of getting students through high school and into a college or university. Attendees looked at student access and success even with some challenges many students face in the Rio Grande Valley.
Speakers also highlighted a variety of initiatives to accelerate student success from early college high schools, dual enrollment academies to drop out recovery programs.
