Day two of jury selection in the case of a man accused of beheading his three children got underway on Thursday.
About 75 of 202 potential jurors, that were summoned on Wednesday, went back to court before defense attorneys and state prosecutors. Rubio was convicted of killing the children in 2003, but an appeals court overturned the conviction in 2007, and that is why there is a retrial. The selected panel of jurors will have the task of deciding if Rubio is competent to stand a second trial. Rubio pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in his first trial.
