Hidalgo County Sheriff officers arrested a county employee accused of stealing supplies from a pre-school.
Rogelio Cervantes had been working as a warehouse carrier for the Hidalgo County Head Start program for the past two years. Cervantes admitted to stealing about 400 rolls of toilet paper, 160 bundles of paper towels and at least 12 soap dispensers. The supplies has a total value of about $500 dollars. Cervantes was charged with theft by a public servant and investigators were able to recover some of the stolen items.
