This past weekend hundreds of Boy Scouts gathered at Camp Perry in Rio Hondo for the 2010 Rio Grande Council Camporee.
300 scouts participated with troops from Mission to Brownsville getting together for friendly competition of showing off skills they've learned in scouting. Some of the events included giving first aid, knot tying, lashing, rappelling and many others. This years emphasis is one of the Boy Scouts biggest principal practices, which is leave no trace. This years event marked 100 years of the foundation of Boy Scouts in the United States.
