U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than nine pounds of cocaine and 100 pounds of marijuana at a Brownsville port of entry.
The bust were made during two separate incidents and two Mexican citizens were arrested. The first one happened on January 28th when officers searched a 2001 Chevy Suburban and found four packages of cocaine weighing up to nine pounds. The second bust happened the same day when a officers searched Chevy Grand Voyager and found 100 pounds of marijuana hidden within the side panels. The total estimated street value of both seizures is more than $302,000 dollars.
