Those who attended the event signed a 'Vision Board' writing some of the things they want to see happen in the city in the next 25 years.
The McAllen EDC talked about the success its had so far before discussing plans on how to make the coming years equally productive for McAllen residents.
Keith Patridge, President of the McAllen EDC, stated, "There is opportunity here, and we're going to continue to capitalize on and develop that opportunity so that they and their family members will have the opportunity to grow up here, be educated here, and have a career here."
Patridge says the benefits of the new UT-RGV school will also be seen in the city of McAllen's development.
