EDINBURG, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A train is off its track and its cargo spilled after it derailed in Edinburg.
Nobody was hurt when the three train cars derailed at about 3 p.m. Tuesday. The cars were carrying corn from McAllen to the Azteca Milling Company in Edinburg. It is run by the Rio Grande Valley Switching Company.
Canton Roads between McColl and Jackson Roads are closed. Texas Railroad police are investigating the incident. Officials say it could be days before the spill is cleaned up.
