BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — In today's Pet of the Week, we introduce you to Toby the Schnauzer Mix and Tommie the Dachshund Chihuahua mix.
"My name is Robert Dippong and I'm the supervisor of the Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center.
I have Toby, and I have Tommie with me. They're about six to eight weeks old. Toby here is a Schnauzer mix. He's gonna be about ten to fifteen pounds when he gets older and this is a Dachshund-Chihuahua mix and she's probably gonna be about ten to fifteen pounds. They're both at the perfect age right now for a family that has small children that wants them to grow together. They're gonna be medium to hyper dogs. They're gonna like to play a lot, so anybody that's looking for small animals for their children, these are the perfect animals for them.
If they wanna adopt the dogs, we'll go ahead and open the shelter from eight to five Monday thru Sunday and they'll go ahead and play with the animal, see if the animal interacts with them well, and you know, see if they like the animal, then we'll have them fill out an application and a contract really quick, they'll pay their $106 adoption fee and the animal will be put in for surgery and all his vaccines."
