San Benito Commissioners will meet to discuss Mayor Joe Hernandez's back taxes. According to city charter, elected officials can not be delinquent on taxes to hold office. Mayor Hernandez says he owes less than $1,000 in property taxes, and that this is a malicious political move. Hernandez says the issue was an oversite due to family medical problems.
