Federal agents arrested a bar owner and a bartender for allegedly forcing undocumented girls into prostitution.
Immigration and Customs officials say Beleal Garcia and Elizabeth Mendez, who themselves are undocumented immigrants, were charged with harboring illegal immigrants. Federal agents raided a home located near Mission on Wednesday, finding several illegal immigrants inside including three Honduran teenage girls. Court records state that the girls were forced to work for $20 a day at a bar to work off their smuggling debts. The teenage girls are now in federal custody.
