The destruction felt by thousands in Haiti's Capital, Port-au-Prince, has left death and chaos in the country.
The dead have been piled up along the streets and many are feared trapped in collapsed homes and buildings. There is no official death toll from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake, but one local official told the associated press that half a million people may be dead. The International Red Cross says as many as a third of the 9 million people in Haiti could need some type of emergency aid.
