HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A woman from Georgia was arrested after attempting to transport nearly 50 pounds of marijuana from the Harlingen airport to Atlanta.
On Monday, February 24th at around 2:15 p.m. Harlingen police made contact with Valley International Airport police in reference to a person attempting to courier narcotics onto a flight.
Officer questioned and arrested Aja Morae Jones for attempting to transport nearly 50 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $1,417 dollars from Harlingen to Atlanta, Georgia.
Jones was charged with possession of marijuana and handed a $30,000 bond.
