Georgia officer claims teen killed in shooting pointed a weapon at her; family insists he was only holding a Wii game controller. Duffie Dixon reports.
(WXIA) The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is probing the deadly shooting of a teenager by a Euharlee police officer.
The officer involved says 17-year-old Christopher Roupe pointed a weapon at her and pulled the trigger.
Roupe's family maintains the boy was holding a Wii game controller, not a gun.
"The family members who were eyewitnesses say all Chris had in his hand was a Wii gaming remote," says family attorney Cole Law.
The officer fired one shot, killing Christopher Roupe.
